Arcane
A complex interplay of intertwined forms, cavities and ascending elements, demonstrating remarkable natural intricacy.
Arcane is the most intricate work in the collection. At its heart is a dense, almost unbelievable lattice of fine intertwined tendrils, knotted and threaded together in a complexity no carver could plan. From this tangle, a single slender spire rises high above the rest, with a smaller echo beside it. The contrast between the crowded centre and the clean, upward line is captivating. It is a sculpture of secrets: the closer you look, the more cavities, crossings and hidden passages you find.
