Sentinel
A commanding vertical sculpture with intricate natural branching and an elegant, elongated presence.
Tall, slender and watchful, Sentinel stands 160 centimetres high yet only 58 centimetres across, the most vertical presence in the collection. Its core is a column of strands braided tightly together, as though countless fibres had agreed to rise as one. From this spine, small wing-like flares break away, catching the light at their edges and casting fine shadows across the grain. The effect is both elegant and fiercely alert: a guardian form, quietly holding its ground. Seen from a distance it reads as a single line; drawn closer, it dissolves into an intricate weave of natural detail.
