Eclipse
A concentrated sculptural form characterised by deeply textured surfaces, layered grain and a striking upward silhouette.
Eclipse is a single, monumental mass of wood that rises at an angle like a blade or a filled sail, tapering towards one decisive point. Unlike the open, branching forms around it, it is concentrated and solid, its power held within. The surface is where its story is written: deep fissures, layered grain and darkened hollows trace years of slow natural change, so that the wood reads almost like weathered stone or a cliff face. As light falls across it, the textures shift from soft to sharp. At 130 centimetres high, it carries the stillness and gravity of an ancient standing form.
