Cathedral
The collection's monumental centrepiece: a towering composition of arches, natural voids and expressive branching movement.
Cathedral is the monumental centrepiece of the collection, rising 202 centimetres, more than two metres of naturally formed wood. Its name comes from its architecture: soaring arches, open voids and branching movement that recall the vaults and spires of a great building, yet no hand designed any of it. Arms rise and spread on both sides, framing the space between them, while the central structure climbs with an expressive, almost choral energy. Light passes through its openings and shadows move across its surfaces, so the work is never quite the same twice. A rare and commanding presence for a space of real scale.
